STATEMENT OF FAITH

We are a full day program incorporating all areas fundamental to children’s overall development (social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, physical) to prepare them for their future success.  We offer part-time programs of 2, 3 or 4 set days per week.  We also offer full-time enrollment.

We recognize that children develop individually and respect different learning styles.  To facilitate their healthy development we incorporate a variety of activities and learning experiences to stimulate appropriate learning and growth in all areas.
Our academic program includes hands-on experiences as well as proven curriculum materials from ABECA.
Our classes are determined by age

2 ½ - 3 years

Beginners  (must be 2 ½ and potty trained to enter)
3 - 4 years   Preschool  (turning 4 by September of the following year)
4 - 5 years Pre-kindergarten  (turning 5 by September of the following year)
Each age level prepares the children for the next stage.  Children are very well-prepared for Kindergarten when they graduate from the Pre-Kindergarten class.

WE BELIEVE

In one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Dueteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29)

In the virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious death, bodily resurrection and ascension.  Isaiah 7:14, Romans 8:34, Acts 1:9-10)

In the divine inspiration of the Bible, our all sufficient rule of faith and conduct.

(11 Timothy 3:15-17)

In the necessity of the rebirth of man and in his consequent salvation from spiritual death and hell, through repentance as acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior.  (John 3:1-7, 16-18; 1 John 5:11-12)

In the observable evidence of the new birth, the inward evidence being the direct witness of the Holy Spirit and the outward evidence being a life of holiness and love of God and man.  Romans 8:16, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Matthew 22:36-40)

In Christian Baptism.  (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38)

In the resurrection of the dead, that the bodies of both the just and the unjust shall be raised to live and united with their spirits - “They that have done good to the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation.”  (Matthew 25:31-46, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 22:7-20)

In the second coming to earth of the Lord Jesus Christ, who will receive all believers unto himself, both alive and dead, so that we shall be with the Lord forever.  (Matthew 25:31-46, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 22:7-20)

TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS
The teachers and assistants of Community Christian Preschool and Day Care Center are experienced, qualified and dedicated to the needs of your child. All applicants must have a strong desire to work with young children and be committed to the goals of the school. Our teachers are mature, well trained and loving. The state of Washington requires all individuals working with young children obtain basic training in Child Development and Education, and have CPR/First Aid Training, and a cleared background check. Our teachers minimally meet those requirements and in most cases exceed them. Ongoing training provides our teachers with additional tools to nurture and teach children. Our staff turn-over is low (based on standards of the field) which helps ensure consistency for the children.
LICENSE
The State of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services licenses Community Christian Preschool and Day Care Center.
RATIO OF TEACHERS TO CHILDREN
Research and our experience confirms that a small overall class size is best for children. Our class ratios are one teacher per ten children. This provides an appropriate level of stimulation, and more opportunities for children to bond with the teacher and other children in the class.
FIELD TRIPS
We take field trips into the community to promote your child’s growth and development. We exercise many safety measures including the use of appropriate car seats and basic background checks on chaperones attending.
DISCIPLINE POLICY
It is very important for children’s school and life success to learn and practice appropriate behaviors. Our goal is to teach children to:
  • Make appropriate behavioral choices, and to

  • Understand there are consequences for behavior choices

  • Experience the rewards that come from making appropriate choices

A detailed description of our Discipline Policy and methods of guiding children can be obtained from the preschool director.
At no time will Corporal Punishment (which is prohibited both by law, and our policy) be used. At no time will a child be belittled or intentionally humiliated.
SECURITY
CCA is a secured facility. An assigned security card is required to access the preschool building. Children are released only to parents and authorized individuals listed on the child’s records. Positive photo identification is required.
